Erik Wightman and Jason Sanford are pleased to announce that Western Railroad Americana will be offering another builders plate sale in November.  This collection has some amazing plates that are rarely seen and sure to be treasured by their new owners.

New Collection Update!

Erik Wightman and Jason Sanford are pleased to announce that Western Railroad Americana will be handling Mike Moore’s lifetime collection of railroad lanterns.  Mike was a dear friend of ours and we are grateful that his family has entrusted us in making sure his legacy lives on by finding new caretakers for some of his most prized possessions.  Thank you to all of our friends and customers for your support over the years and making sure Mike’s legacy lives on.  We look forward to helping you add that special piece to your collection.  You will be missed Mike, highball!

The collection consists of 90 high quality lanterns from all over the country and includes some true rarities that have not been available publicly for many years.  There is a fine selection of both Eastern and Western lanterns.

Erik Wightman and Jason Sanford are pleased to announce that Western Railroad Americana will be handling Ron Wright’s lifetime collection of North American builders plates.

The collection of over 250 plates features both steam and diesel plates from Norfolk and Western, New York Central, Pennsylvania Railroad, Louisville and Nashville, Wheeling and Lake Erie, Milwaukee, Southern Pacific, Santa Fe, Union Pacific, Canadian Pacific, Canadian National, and many others. A lot of these plates have not been publicly available for years.

Western Railroad Americana would like to wish everyone an amazing summer!  Get out and enjoy the weather and hopefully you have the opportunity to ride some trains.  We will be visiting the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and also the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad this summer.  We have posted some great videos on our Instagram account of our first trip to the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
 
We will be updating the website this week with 50 new keys!  Hopefully something for everyone.
 
We will also be updating the photo gallery with some amazing new lanterns, locks, and keys from our recent trip to Colorado.

Western Railroad Americana would like to wish everyone a Happy Holidays.  To say it has been a difficult and trying year, would be an understatement.  We are grateful for all of our customers and friends that make the day-to-day enjoyable in this unpredictable world we live in.  We are thankful that we have been able to provide you with something to look forward to in the mail and that we have been able to help you build your collections.
 
We will be shipping our last orders for 2020 on December 16th.  We will be taking the remainder of the year off for the holidays.  We will still be available by phone or email.  
 
Thank you to everyone who made 2020 a huge success for us, we look forward to 2021!

We have listed for sale two new Colorado Silver passes issued by Otto Mears.  Not only are these passes amazing pieces of Colorado railroad history, both of the passes were issued to the same person.  It is extremely rare to find multiple passes issued to the same person.  
 
We have also listed some amazing locks including GNRY fancy back, Wells Fargo & Co., UPD&GRy fancy back, Union Pacific Tool Rack, and a CMRy switch lock.

We have received a new collection of locks and keys that we are working on photographing and inventorying.  We will be adding the new items to the Catalog today and tomorrow.  There are some great keys and locks in there, including some Colorado rarities that are sure to please.
